His work has been featured in the "Boars Head" training program and by working with owners to help them achieve their goals Peter first got introduced to the food service industry at the young age of 10 when he and his older brother, Steven, worked part-time at the Poulakakos family restaurants. At an early age he was advised by his father, George, to spend time with each one of the partners (5) that constituted the institutional organization of the family restaurants to learn the mechanics of the business. By doing so Peter came to learn that his Aunt Adrienne (03’) was the key contributor to the success of the family business. Adrienne was the matriarch of the Poulakakos family and her extensive knowledge and expertise in the food service industry proved to be a huge influence in Peter’s life. Peter and his Aunt Adrienne had an untold comradery and he would spend all of his free time in her office learning the ins and outs of the business. In her office is where Peter had the opportunity to sharpen his creative mind, relationships skills, work ethic and overall confidence through Adrienne’s example by believing and following in our dreams. Adrienne’s advice influenced Peter to work managerial positions for various food service industry leaders. This of course helped groom Peter’s skill in order to help achieve a rare expectancy in becoming a first generation Boar’s Head Brand distributor. Peter, at the age of 25, had become 1 of only 300 in the country that had been excepted as a Boar’s Head authorized distributor by way of process that had a 1 in 10 expectancy rate.
