Established in 1984, Meadow Montessori School offers school programs and educational services to children. Providing programs for infant, toddler, elementary, middle, high school and more, it offers programs in music, art and foreign language as well as farm programs. Enrolling students from Monroe County and surrounding communities and others, the school incorporates an age range of two to three years in each classroom. Meadow Montessori School houses an athletic club in addition to a Parents Guild, which supports the school through fundraising and other volunteer activities. A member of the Association of Independent Michigan Schools (AIMS), the school has license from the State of Michigan and approval from the Michigan Board of Education. It has affiliations with the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) and American Montessori Society (AMS).
