Founded in 1899, Veterans of Foreign Wars is a veteran services organization, providing a comprehensive range of services for the betterment of the veterans, military and communities. Based in Anchorage, Alaska, the organization serves veterans throughout the United States. It offers a variety of services in categories, such as national veterans service, transitioning, troop support, post military assistance and national military services, among others. Additionally, it renders compensation and benefits, health care, vocational rehab as well as employment and home loans services. Veterans of Foreign Wars also offer several scholarships, flag education and other community service programs.
