Founded in 1922, Green Meadow Farms is one of the largest, registered dairy farms in North America. It is spread across an area of more than 6,000 acres and has a heard of over 9,500 cattle. The farm employs nearly 75 people and participates in various dairy festivals. Green Meadow Farms maintains reproduction, nutrition, milking, waste management and replacement departments, as well as a calf nursery. Its clients include the Michigan State University and the Department of BioSystems & Agricultural Engineering. The farm has a variety of cattle from Brown Swiss, Ayrshires, Jerseys and Dutch Belted breeds. Green Meadow Farms has a location in Elsie, Mich.
