Albaugh is a privately owned company in the agrichemicals business. It makes a variety of off-patent crop production products, including herbicides and fungicides. In business for more than 25 years, the company s sales have grown by product acquisitions, such as the Butryac line of products from Rhone Poulenc; a company acquisition of Atanor SA in Argentina; a company acquisition of a copper company, Cuproquim of Mexico; and the introduction of new products, including Atrazine, Bromoxynil, Dicamba and Glyphosate. Albaugh has its formulation and packaging plant in St. Joseph, Mo. It is one of the largest independently owned companies in its industry and is the only generic glyphosate producer in the United States. The company s products are sold through national distribution networks.
